Prerequisites: The Labs page appears once lab ordering is turned on for your clinic — through Junction, through Fullscript, or both — and your role has the View Labs permission.
What the list shows
Each row is one order: the patient, the tests it covers, the lab (Junction or Fullscript), a status badge, the ordering provider, the location, and when it was created. The list opens showing everything, newest first.Filter the list
Use the filters above the list to narrow it down:- Patient name and Test name — search by what’s in the order.
- Status — Draft, Awaiting purchase, In progress, Results ready, Completed, or Closed (cancelled or failed orders, with no results to act on).
- Vendor — Junction or Fullscript.
- Ordering provider and Created by — pick one or more providers.
- Location — pick one or more of your locations. Labs bought through Fullscript don’t have a location attached, so filtering by location hides them; leave this filter empty to see every order.
- Created date — a date range.
- Lab — the specific lab the order went to.
- Collection method — how the sample was or will be collected.
Catch results nobody’s opened
Filter Status to Results ready to see every order whose results have landed and nobody has opened yet, across every patient at once — the fastest way to make sure nothing sits unread.Open an order
Click any row to open it. The order shows the same details and results as opening it from the patient’s chart — see Labs for what’s on that page. A draft or failed order can’t be edited from here; open it from the patient’s chart to fix and resend it. Opening a results-ready order marks it read, the same as it does on the chart: the badge flips from Results ready to Completed. Use Back to orders to return to the list — your filters are still applied when you do.Related pages
