Attachments and Photos

Notes support photo and document attachments for before/after comparisons, clinical documentation, and treatment records.

Attachments Tab

The Attachments tab on a note displays all attached photos and images in a grid. From this tab you can:
  • Upload new attachments — Click the upload button to add images directly to the note.
  • View attachments — Click any thumbnail to open the full-size image.
  • Annotate images — Click an image to open the annotation editor, where you can draw, mark, and add notes directly on the photo.
  • Template placeholders — If the note template includes placeholder images, they appear automatically. Click to convert a placeholder into a real attachment for annotation.

Annotation Editor

The image annotator provides tools for marking up clinical photos:
  • Drawing tools — Freehand drawing, lines, shapes, and arrows.
  • Text annotations — Add text labels to specific areas.
  • Undo / Redo — Step back through annotation history.
  • Restore — Revert annotations to a previous state.
  • Save — Annotations are saved to the attachment and visible to all providers viewing the note.

Documents Section

The Documents section (within the Attachments tab) manages linked documents:
  • Upload Document — Click Upload Document to attach PDFs, Word files, or images.
  • View Document — Click any document card to open it in a viewer.
  • Remove Document — Hover over a document and click the remove icon to unlink it from the note.
Each document card shows the file title, document type, and creation date. The Gallery page (accessible from the Notes sidebar) provides a global view of all medical attachments across patients. Use it to:
  • Browse all attachments in a grid layout.
  • Filter by patient — Search for a specific patient to see only their attachments.
  • Filter by date range — Narrow results to a specific time period using preset ranges or custom dates.
  • Upload attachments — Add new images directly from the gallery.
Click any attachment to view it full-size or open its annotation editor.
