Qualiphy provides virtual Good Faith Exams (GFEs) — medical assessments required before prescribing certain medications like GLP-1s (e.g., Semaglutide, Tirzepatide). Once connected, your staff can send exam invites directly from a patient’s chart, and results are returned automatically.

Before You Start

You need a Qualiphy account. If you don’t have one yet, sign up at qualiphy.me. Once you have an account, make sure the following are set up in your Qualiphy dashboard:
  1. A Patient Care Provider — a licensed provider who will review the GFE exams. Without this, exam invites will fail.
  2. Your API key — find this in your Qualiphy dashboard under your account settings.
  3. At least one exam configured — the exams your clinic wants to offer (e.g., GFE for weight loss medications).

Connect Your Qualiphy Account

1

Open Qualiphy Settings

Go to Settings > Qualiphy. You will see whether your API key is currently configured.
2

Enter Your API Key

Paste the API key from your Qualiphy dashboard into the API Key field.
3

Save

Click Save API Key. The system will test the connection to Qualiphy before saving. If the key is invalid, you will see an error message.
Once saved, the status will change to API key configured and your team can start requesting GFEs.

Request a Good Faith Exam

Once Qualiphy is connected, staff can request GFEs from two places:
  • Patient chart — on the Appointments tab, click Request Qualiphy GFE
  • Appointment checklist — when checking in a patient, the GFE checklist item will show a Request New GFE button
1

Select Exams

Choose one or more exams from the list. These are the exams configured in your Qualiphy account.
2

Select State

Choose the state where the patient will complete the telehealth exam. This defaults to the appointment location’s state.
3

Send Invite

Click Send Exam Invite. The patient will receive an email and SMS with a link to complete the exam.

What Happens After the Invite

  1. The patient receives an email and SMS from Qualiphy with a link to join the exam.
  2. The patient completes the virtual assessment with a Qualiphy provider.
  3. The provider reviews the exam and approves or rejects it.
  4. The result is sent back to your system automatically — the exam status updates to Approved or Rejected on the patient’s chart.
